He hates having messy hands. With the exception of sand, he can't bear to have substances spread all over them and always wants to wash them off. Today we made Easter cards involving cotton buds and sponge printing, naturally his hands got dirty. I wouldn't let him wash his hands, in fact I got the sponge and painted it all over mine and then encouraged him to do the same. The next fifteen minutes were spent painting our hands, squelching them and smearing it all over the paper. I think he might be a little bit cured.

Liam was exactly the same when he was little! He was very OCDish for a long time!
Super cutie though x

We had the same thing, he always hated mess including sand and he wouldn't even walk on sand or slightly dusty roads with sandals on (which is a real pain here!) but we did handprint painting recently and he painted all the way up his arms!

Aaahhh greta fun. Poppy used to hate getting hers dirty and Rosie doesn't like it much either. We all love a bit of hand painting and messy play though…great fun x

I love messy play with my son, but he also doesn't like getting his hands dirty with paint. He loves sand, dirt, lol.
Lovely pic.

We also done Easter cards but I'll admit Angelo's contribution was the hand prints.

Ah my little boy is exactly the same, he's not even keen on sand. Will take a leaf from your book and get messy with him and see what happens!

Awww that's lovely. My niece is going through a phase where she will shout "dirty!!!" and point to her hands. She then wants someone to take her to the nearest sink.
