Ok so it's coming up to the end of August and I certainly don't have a tan.

At the end of July it was looking like I'd get one, but then clouds came and laughed at me, and I remain my normal lily white. Problem is that I like to wear cropped trousers in the 'Summer' and so I'm resorting to the old faithful of fake tan!

I'm not a huge fan of tanning these days but I'd love to visit Iceland and use a bottle tan instead of soaking up harmful rays. 🙂

I'm not one for tanning, I just burn! So I stick to the bottle! Sunny exotic locations don't really appeal to me, I like a good old fashioned caravan holiday in the UK! Or, if I do go abroad, a city break like Prague or New York!
The best tan I ever had was in the south of France, such a lovely colour and no burning! 🙂

I love to go to Mallorca and visit my little sister who lives there. The beach there is perfect, always some shade to be found in the hottest parts of the day and the sea is beautiful to cool down in. I use factor 50 and still come home with just the right tan. It pays to be patient!
my favourite location is Barbados – there is so much to see and do there isn't time to just lie on the beach or round the pool

Anywhere is safe really if you prepare your skin prior to going out. But the best place is east Scotland Rosemarkie. its got the Easterly winds to cool you down, lovely pristine white beaches, dolphins in August to look at and you can shelter in sand dunes. PLUS, there's hardly a soul on the beach.
