Ahh, I wanted to buy an elf on the shelf, but thought they were soooo expensive. I love the idea of making/buying your own. I'm pinching this idea!!

Me too! No way that I was going to be spending £25-30 on a toy that I didn't actually like the appearance of. My eyes have almost bled through sewing up until 1.30am and then from 10-2 again today, 85-90% was handsewn, but I'm really pleased with it.

Hey, you're doing the Elf!! This is the first year I've heard of it… and ever the trend follower- roll on Christmas 2013!
You'll have to let us know if it works- I may be tempted to employ in the run up to birthdays!

just a personal opinion…I use to hate hearing parents saying…if you dont behave Santa's not coming….no parent is not going to allow Santa not to come so why make idol threats?
Well done on making your own instead of giving into another money making side to Christmas
