Potters Crouch Candles (Review)

Spring is here and Summer is tantalising waving her fingers of caressing sunlight from afar. With that in mind, it's time to welcome the scent of warm beaches, exotic bazaars and tropical sunsets into our homes.

Potters Crouch Candles

I know that one of the most popular candles around is the Yankee Candle, and with it encased in a chunky glass jar I understand the appeal of it. However, it's certainly not the only scented candle on the market, and it's not necessarily to everyone's taste. I am very fond of the styling of Potters Crouch candles; the stylish silver tin, the hand-illustrated labels, and that's just the packaging!

Once the lid is lifted, the actual candle is a thing of beauty. The candles are a delicate shade appropriate to the scent, the fragrance is subtle and accurate, and every candle is decorated on the top with appropriate embellishments for example, the coconut candle has small seashells and gold sand on the top, as if from a Caribbean island.

I've recently tried out three wonderful candles from the 'Fragrances of the World' collection;

  • Turkish Delight: A delicate rose scent mixed with chocolate, and none of the calories.
  • Coconut: To me this is the ultimate Summer scent; Bounty chocolate, rum cocktails, Malibu suntan lotion!
  • India: A more floral fragrance than the others, with delicate spices and exotic warm floral scents, this is quite a heady candle but perfect for Summer evenings.

Potters Crouch Candles

Priced at £8.50 each and with a burn time of approximately 50 hours, I think Potters Crouch candles are the best value (and most attractive) around.

I was sent these products for the purpose of this review, my opinion is honest and unbiased.
