159. Light At The End… (Four weeks ago we realised that we'd done enough talking about moving The Boy across into a big boy bedroom and needed to do something about it. Then we avoided it for another week again. As my photos on Instagram will show we had a mammoth task ahead of us. Finally with a few days to spare, I managed to finish the painting in time for the carpet fitting, furniture and soft furnishings.)
160. Cooling Off (A very hot day in school requires a little bit of splash time to cool down. This was one of those wiggly hoses with holes in it which he decided to have fun with.)
161. Finished! (A bizarre angle on this one, but I used the panoramic setting on my phone's camera to show off the painting and the solar system stickers which I've applied. I'm so pleased with it, and it looks amazing now the carpet is down.)
162. Sunbathing (This hammock is being hijacked by my little boy, he loves curling up on it and enjoying the evening sunlight.)
163. The Big Reveal (After school we 'gave' The Boy his main present; a big boy bedroom! No-one has been able to believe that he didn't know anything about it, but he really didn't! I called him up to his room, which he rushed into, and then I pointed out that he was in the wrong room. He just couldn't believe that it was all his, adored the bed and then sat and watched all the gardens he could now see from up in his high-bed. I think I've now lost him to the place!)
164. Chill (More swing sessions on the hammock, this time with a new book/birthday present courtesy of a friend. I love his relaxed posture as he reads silently to himself. )
165. Huff and Puff (Today was the big day; the joint birthday party with The Boy's best friend. A lot of work (when will I ever learn?) but so worth it.)

We had that bed for my boys for years. We finally ditched it when we moved house because it was completely worn out.
