Shoes.
They are the one reliable clothing item for me; I can put weight on anywhere else on my body and feel dejected about clothes shopping, but shoes are safe. Shoes and bags.
About a month ago I collaborated with Hotter Shoes to pull together a bloggers' evening in their Cardiff branch where we were able to browse the styles, and be confounded that actually the shoes aren't old granny slippers meant for those with a preference for 'sensible footwear'.
Because while they are incredibly well designed to offer maximum comfort for your feet, they are also quite stylish and funky.
The misconception of Hotter Shoes being akin to slippers is understandable, after all that's what they started making initially. However the founder quickly realised that the more sensible option was to create shoes which were as comfortable as slippers. That's why they have the #ComfortConcept feature in every pair of shoes which provides wiggle room for toes, combined with the lightweight soles which are filled with millions of air bubbles, cushioning, and flexibility. The ladies shoes start at size 3 and go to size 9, with some extra fit options.
This is why Hotter Shoes are becoming more and more popular; they have increased their chain from 5 to 65 stores in the past four years, and they are the UK's biggest shoe manufacturer, making a pair of shoes every 20 seconds!
The styles for Summer include plenty of floral, pastels, nude shoes, and tea-dress style heels. I personally loved the wedges but they were a little too high for me, and my instep is too high for the straps. However, there were plenty of boating shoes and pumps which are perfect for gallivanting with The Boy in the great outdoors.
I had a particularly hard time narrowing down my selection to just one pair and felt sorry for the assistant; the look on her face when I walked up to her with six different shoes in my arms was priceless. The choice was so difficult that I actually ended up choosing three pairs of shoes to sneak past my husband into the house. My 'Hotter' moment came when I tried on the dark aqua and white gold 'Leanne' trainers (centre in the picture below – currently in the sale for £49.00), as they have underfoot cushioning, and have a hygienic removable insole to help keep feet fresh. I had an even hotter 'Hotter' moment when I slipped my tootsies into the navy Essmy pumps (on the right, £39.00) which felt just like slippers with their cushioned insole and elasticated gusset for extra stretch.
I may have also purchased the 'Kate' boat shoes in rose. But if my husband asks me about that I'm going to deny it.

I attended an event to promote Hotter Shoes for which I received a pair of shoes to review, my opinions are honest and unbiased.

I've never been keen on Hotter shoes for my style, but some of them do look lovely! Especially the pumps and the cute heels with the bow.

I had plantar fasciitis and the trainers would have been brilliant! I had never heard of this brand and love to support local manufacturing – how brilliant

I've not heard of this brand but I like the look of the vintage styled heel and the trainers would be very nice under jeans
