Every woman loves receiving flowers, and particularly during the Winter months when foliage, flowers and colours are seriously lacking in the natural environment. November is also my anniversary month and my husband is very good at buying me a bouquet of the flowers that were in my wedding bouquet.
When I was recently invited to receive flower delivery from the Debenhams collection, I knew instantly that I'd be choosing the Designer Spirit bouquet which contains white roses, spiky chrysanthemums, berries, lillies and silver sprayed ferns.
The standard bouquet which I received contained:
- White Oriental Lily x3,
- White Blooms x3,
- Green Hypericum Berry x6,
- Avalanche Rose x5,
- Silver Fern x5,
- Hard Ruscus x3
The bouquet arrived via Royal Mail in a large and sturdy cardboard box, with secure packaging to prevent it from moving and spilling water from the small plastic pot stuffed with wet oasis in the base. The flowers that came were fresh, at the perfect stage of opening and completely unbruised. They arrived a fortnight ago, and it is only last night that I had to remove the roses that had died, all the other flowers are still frehs and have plenty more life in them; there are still two unopened lillies!
At £49.99 this is not a cheap option as a Christmas present, however the quality is excellent and for flowers to still be blooming a fortnight later in the middle of a centrally-heated house? That's no mean feat! This is certainly an alternative present for a much-loved friend or relative this Christmas, one which I'm sure will be greatly appreciated.
