Saturday nights have taken on a new role in our family over the last few months. Thanks to the magical pizza-making skills of The Boy and Mr. TBaM and the wonders of Netflix, Saturday nights are now movie nights!
It is absolutely guaranteed with Netflix that we will find a family film to watch together while chomping down on freshly baked, handmade pizzas, and we are working our way through the selection of animated films available. Due to The Boy's extreme sensitivity to anything vaguely malevolent in films, we've had to build up his tolerance levels to be able to enjoy Cars but we're getting there.
Before Christmas we finally managed to watch Shrek which he adored! Shrek isn't on Netflix unfortunately, however they do have the five Dreamworks Shrek Stories which are wonderful short animated films around thirteen minutes long. However they will be bringing a new addition to the Shrek family this month.
On 16th January, The Adventures of Puss In Boots arrives on Netflix straight from DreamWorks Animation. He will be embarking on incredible new adventures in his unforgettably singular style in the all-new Netflix original TV series. The first five 22-minute episodes will be available to Netflix members in the U.S., Canada, Latin America, UK, Ireland, the Nordics, Benelux and France to watch instantly beginning Friday 16th January 2015.
The Adventures of Puss In Boots finds the world’s most famous feline fortune-hunter in the hidden city of San Lorenzo, a mythical land that is invisible to the outside world thanks to a magical spell that protects its quirky inhabitants – not to mention its wondrous treasure. When Puss in Boots accidentally breaks the spell, he must do more than fight off an endless legion of invaders and marauders… he must become a legend. The series combines adventure and comedy with the quick-witted, nimble-footed style that is as synonymous with its hero as his namesake boots.
I can't wait to add another thing to our to-watch list; please God anything but another episode of Paw Patrol…

Oooh so glad you wrote about this! Mushroom loved the short we watched after the movie at Christmas (he actually preferred it to the full length movie, which he found 'a bit too scary' in parts) and I was looking for more on netflix. Now I know to look again next week!
