It's been a while since #SOSC last made an appearance.

However, having noticed a distinct lack of interaction in the world of social media lately, I thought it might be time to dust off the cobwebs, bring out the polish and jazz up the badge again. Let's see if we can get people showing a little blog love again, shall we?

This weekend is your opportunity to link-up a post that you wrote that filled you with a sense of satisfaction. It wasn't a review post or a competition, it was an original content post which really spoke to you. You typed that last full stop, pressed 'publish' and thought "yes, this will be a good one!" and waited.

But no bugger actually bothered to read it, or if they did they certainly didn't comment on it!

Why? I can still hear you shouting it.

Heaven only know why. They didn't deserve it, they were good posts. It's not their fault that they were published on a Bank Holiday or when people were experiencing blog-apathy. They don't deserve to feel inadequate, not when they've done nothing wrong.

This weekend, I'd like you to help that post to hold its head up high! Brush them off, stick my badge at the bottom of the post and show them off for everyone to see. Don't be ashamed of them, help them shout at everyone:

It's that time of year again, you might have noticed the effect. Over the last few months, the culmination of Easter, CybHer, half-term holidays and BritMums Live! has meant that there are a fair few posts which, if published at another time of year, might have done better.

So Christmas time?

A time of love and laughter and joy ever after, ours for the tak… sorry, I went all Cliff then.

But seriously, while it was a fabulous time to spend with our families and for us it was the best Christmas ever, cor blimey missus, no-one read the blogs! I mean, did no-one else feel the need to look themselves away in the loo with their iPod Touches/phones, wi-fi connection and just read a few blog posts here and there?

I can't believe it was just me; I saw you all on twitter!

You can never predict how posts are going to be received by readers. You can spend hours slaving over a post and it receives one reader and no comments, or you can spend five minutes typing on up while sat up at 3am nursing your poorly baby and then the little line on the site statistics chart explodes stellar-ward! While it might have caused a chuckle typing it up using a smartphone application in the middle of the night sat in an uncomfortable Ikea bucket chair, surely it wasn't that funny?

This all got me thinking about posts. Which are the most popular? Which died a death? Which shouldn't have been written? I want to know your posts, and so I bring you ShowOff ShowCase.
