It does feel sometimes like my house is just one big toy storage facility, with a wooden fortress deep in the middle of a battle; fallen knights scattered helplessly across the floor, soldiers parachuting down to rescue their troubled comrades and the pups from Paw Patrol doing their utmost to save the day in Adventure Bay. However, I do like to assert my hold over the house with a few pretty things like vases of flowers, pots of shells and Yankee Candles scattered around on the surfaces.
Christmas from Yankee Candle (Review)
I'm becoming very excited for Christmas; creating the right atmosphere in the house with lights, decorations and fragrances really adds to the magical time. I've been sent a few items from Yankee Candle recently which are going to help fill the house with the scents of the season; vanilla, cinnamon, apple, gingerbread, nutmeg, marshmallow, cookies and cranberries.
Autumn's Yankee Candle Collection
Autumn is my favourite season of the year for all the rich colours on the trees, the marvellous treasures we can find in nature and the crispness of the air. It's a wonderous time of year as children start to understand the way that fruit and vegetables ripen, and can see and taste the fruits of their labour.
Yankee Candles have tapped into that as they have produced a fruity range of candles which perfectly reflect the spicey aromas associated with Harvest and Autumn; Cinnamon Appleberry, Grapevine & Oak, Pomegranate Cider, Harvest, and Apple Pumpkin.
We've been sent the absolutely glorious 'Harvest' to review and it is my new favourite scented candle I own. At the moment, I actually haven't lit it because the fragrance is wonderful as it is!
It is an incredibly rich scent with golden hues of Autumn; cinnamon, cloves and musk combine with a hint of sweet apples and pumpkins to really fill the air deliciously. And with 110-150 burn hours, the smell is sure to last all season; that's if you can bear to light it!
The Harvest Yankee Candle is available from high street stores and through the website directly, priced at £19.99 for the large jar candle.
I was sent this product for the purpose of this review, my opinion is honest and unbiased.
A Yankee Candles Guide
During the Summer months the air is full of wonderful aromas and fragrances which are indicative of the season; freshly cut grass, fruit salads, flowers, and even barbecues. Windows are flung open to welcome the scents of laundry drying in the blazing heat; it is glorious!
Autumn arrives with the scent of chestnuts, dry and crunchy leaves, and a coolness in the air.
And then comes Winter.
Natural aromas in the air aren't so forthcoming and, certainly in my house, the indoors begins to smell musty and stale. A little helping hand is needed.
